Frequently asked questions
Everything Shopify merchants ask about letting customers edit their own orders and adding post-purchase upsells with Storeloop.
Getting started
What is Storeloop?
Storeloop is a Shopify app that lets your customers edit their own orders after checkout, such as fixing a shipping address, changing a size or quantity, changing the delivery method, cancelling, or downloading a receipt. It also adds one-click post-purchase and thank-you-page upsells. The result is fewer support tickets and more revenue per order.
Do I need to write any code to install Storeloop?
No code is needed. You install Storeloop from the Shopify App Store, choose which edits to allow, and add your upsell products. The one-click post-purchase page needs a single one-time selection under Settings, Checkout, Post-purchase page.
Will Storeloop actually reduce my support tickets?
Order-change requests such as wrong address, wrong size and add one more item are among the most common support tickets. By letting customers fix these themselves within a safe window, Storeloop removes that back-and-forth. Your analytics view shows exactly how many tickets were deflected and how much revenue the upsells earned.
How do I get support?
Email info@storeloop.io and the team will help with setup, configuration or any questions.
Order editing
What can customers change after they have placed an order?
Depending on the settings you enable, customers can edit their shipping address, update contact details, change product quantities, change the delivery method, cancel the order, and view or download a receipt or PDF invoice. You choose which of these are allowed.
How long can customers edit their order?
You set an edit window, for example 60 minutes after checkout. Within that window customers can self-serve changes. Once the window closes, the edit options are hidden and customers are pointed to contact you. This protects orders that are already being picked and packed.
Where do customers make the changes?
The Edit your order panel appears on the Shopify thank-you page and the order status page, so customers can make changes right after checkout without contacting support or logging in.
Do the edits sync back to Shopify?
Yes. Every change a customer makes is written straight back to the real Shopify order using standard order updates, so your admin, 3PL, warehouse, email platform and other tools pick up the change automatically. There is nothing extra to wire up.
What happens if a customer tries to edit an order that is already fulfilled?
The edit window closes automatically after the time you set, and edits are blocked server-side, so customers cannot change an order that is already being fulfilled. They are shown a message to contact you instead.
Post-purchase upsells
How do the post-purchase upsells work?
Storeloop offers three placements: a one-click page shown straight after payment, the thank-you page, and the order status page. On the one-click page the customer can add a product with a single tap and it is charged instantly to the card they just used. Thank-you and order status offers add items to the same order for you to collect.
Do upsells add extra shipping cost?
No. Items added through an upsell ship with the order the customer just placed, in the same parcel, so there is no extra shipping to charge and the added revenue is high margin.
Pricing and plans
How much does Storeloop cost?
Storeloop has a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans include a 14 day free trial and can be billed monthly or annually, with annual saving two months. Billing is handled securely by Shopify and appears on your Shopify invoice. You can change or cancel your plan at any time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Paid plans come with a 14 day free trial so you can see the impact on tickets and order value before you pay.
Data and compatibility
Is customer data safe?
Yes. Storeloop only accesses the order data needed to provide the features you enable, verifies every request with signed time-limited tokens, and follows Shopify data-protection requirements. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
Does Storeloop work on mobile?
Yes. The edit panel and upsell offers are built mobile-first, which matters because most shoppers check out on a phone.
Which countries and currencies does Storeloop support?
Storeloop works with Shopify stores internationally and displays prices in your store currency. It is used by merchants in the UK, the US and beyond.
